Why Do I Have Constant Localized Lower Back Pain In The Right Iliac Crest Region Along With Mild Swelling For 3 Days?
Hi, 23 y/o female, having constant, localized low back pain in Right iliac crest region along with mild swelling for 3 days. No history of trauma, fall any heavy exercise or activity. Pain started suddenly when i was lying on bed 3 days back. What should I do?
Your symptoms are indicative of stress, strain, nerve impingement. Lower back muscles when weak may cause lower back pain. You can take Naproxen or Acetaminophen, one stat when needed. Sacroiliac joint dysfunction, or arthritis can cause swelling and inflammation. Repeated twisting or bending motions or actions can cause iliolumbar tear, bone cancer can also cause such symptoms.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by an orthopedic and get CT / MRI done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Cold compression, elevation, rest and ice along with conservative treatment and Physical therapy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
