Why Do I Have Low HCG Level During Pregnancy?

hello doctor,

my wife have pregnancy today is 70th day 64th day we check the hcg level.the hcg level is 2300.doctor told hcg level is very low.doctor give three injection and tablets.whether hcg is low any chance to get abort or have any treatment to increase hcg level.

Hello,
Firstly, the hCG levels should be monitored regularly to see if there is doubling every 2-3 days which suggest good progress of the pregnancy; falling titres indicate that the pregnancy has failed. If the pregnancy is viable, hCG injections may be given with regular monitoring to improve the levels. Serial trans-vaginal sonograms should be done to see if the pregnancy is viable and progressing well. Please ask your wife to take adequate rest and avoid all strenuous activity including sexual intercourse. Hope this helps.
