Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
The symptoms that you have mentioned appear to be personality traits and these are generally not amenable to drug treatment. You should get off of buprenorphine, clonazepam and welbutrin. If there is still depressive symptoms only then you need to continue antidepressants. For these personality features, you need to have intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy or cognitive behavioural therapy. This therapy is taken by either a psychologist or a psychiatrist in which the therapist identifies impaired cognitions (Thoughts) and try to correct them. They are 15-20 min weekly session and there should be around 8-10 sessions to help you with your illness.
These therapies have to be continued for a few months to show its effects.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that you are going through a stressful time with your anger outbursts, irritability and difficulty in interacting with people. This can be due to a number of causes for your symptoms like depression, social anxiety, benzodiazepine withdrawal, etc. So, detailed history and a psychological assessment is necessary in order to establish the exact cause.

You have also mentioned about going in for therapy, which in my opinion, is a good idea. Psychological therapies can help you handle your anger and stress better and teach you social skills as well. Usually, if you are already on medication, it is advisable that you continue them side by side during therapy. However, I'm concerned that you seem to be on a high dose of Xanax (5 to 10 tablets). I'm not sure if this was the prescribed dose or whether you are taking them on your own. So, please discuss about the medication doses and options with your psychiatrist.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
