Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, I am 16 years old and I was born with a very small hole in my heart which has closed during time. I am very skinny, during my childhood I suffered from chest pains alot of the time. These gradually faded, nowadays I usually get these pains when I have not been eating well and am hungry, usually at night, do you think it is something serious? They usually dissappear after I have eaten well.
Hello There..
Welcome to Healthcare Magic forum...
It looks like u might have had a congenital heart disease called ventricular septal defect when you were baby...In about 25% of cases the defect closes by itself and the child could continue with normal life. In your case the pain which you are experiencing now may be related to your stomach. You might be having a condition called peptic ulcer which usually occurs due to erosion in the lining of the stomach or the first part of the small intestine, an area called the duodenum. I would suggest you to consult a doctor and discuss with him about the further management.
Hope this helps!!
Take care!!
