Why Do I Have A Metallic Smell When I Blow My Nose?
I finished a round of antibiotics on Wednesday for a sinus infection. I still feel congested though not as bad and the mucus is clear not yellow, I have been also using a neti pot to rinse out my sinuses. When I blow my nose I have a metallic smell/taste after, why?
Most of the times the infection in the sinuses does not resolve completely and takes around 3-4 weeks to settle down. This may be causing the metallic smell , another reason maybe due to the medications/antibiotics which you maybe on, that can also cause the bad smell/taste. Please continue your neti pot, as this will clean up your sinuses and help you recover faster. The smell/taste will disappear/resolve in another week or two Thanks
