Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've dropped 20 pounds since February. My endoscopy returned with an irritated stomach lining and throat. Now they want to do a Cat Scan. What can they be looking for? I have been diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis in the past but until the weight loss have had no reoccurance.
Due to prolonged irritation in bowel, you are prone to develop some type of cancers. But not sure. So he might have advised to take CAR scan. But, any abnormality in stomach, can be found out with the USG scan.
