Why Do My Ear Feel Blocked After Cleaning Them?

My 16 year old daughter cleaned her ears out with q-tips, she said there was quite a bit of wax build up but every since her left ear feels blocked, if she plugs her nose and blows, you can ear what sounds like fluid sound out her left ear. What should we do?

Hello,

First thing, do not allow your daughter to clean ears with q tips. As it causes ear injury or may sometimes tympanic membrane perforation also. So, always clean ears from ENT surgeon.

I will suggest you to use Soliwax ear drops for local application. Along with this take steam inhalation twice a day. You can also do Valsalva manure, she will feel better.

If still symptoms not subside, then review here with detailed history or consult with ENT surgeon.
