Why Does It Feel Like Something Is Lodged In My Throat?
I HAVE BEEN COUGHING FOR 10 DAYS. RUNNY NOSE AND LOTS OF CLEAR MUCUS FROM COUGH AND NOSE. NOW IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING IS LODGED IN MY THROAT. IT DOES NOT HURT OR BOTHERS ME WHEN I SWALLOW. I HAVE BEEN TAKING NYQUIL, DAYQUIL AND RECENTLY CHANGED TO MUCINEX-severe congestion and cough. ALSO MY VOICE IS HARSE.
Involvement of upper respiratory tract during viral flu is commonly characterized by running nose, sore throat, cough, loss of voice.Congestion of vocal cords can cause loss of voice in these conditions.Postnasal drip in such conditions can lead to mucous production.congestion in throat leading to feeling of lump in throat.Along with mucinex i would like to add warm saline gargles, steam inhalation, plenty of fluids preferably warm.If no relief after this measures then consultation with ent and a course of antibiotics might be needed.
