Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
While I workout, my face becomes pale and i get a wave of nausea. If I push through it, my face gets v red as anyone's face would. I am a 37 year old female, 5"3 and approx 145 pounds. Started working out 4 - 5 times per week on Dec 31st and am on a gluten free diet.
I understand your concern. The reason why your face became pail is the fact that your blood pressure was to low at the moment. This means that your blood vessels where not filled enough with blood which is the reason why you were pail and your brain didn't get enough blood which is the reason why you felt nauseous. The reason why blood pressure was low can be due to excessive exercise which could lead to dehydration. The other reason could be ortostatic hypotension, which appears when you suddenly get up from sitting to standing position. My suggestion is to be careful with hydration, drink a lot of fluids, 1.5-2 L per day and try to avoid sudden position changes, especially from a lower to higher position.
I hope this answer was helpful to you.
