Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... I got a severe sore throat days after a new air conditioning unit was installed in my office behind my desk. It lasted about 10 days then went away after lots of vit c etc. Then an abscess formed in the roof of my mouth on the same side as the sore throat. I took a weeks amoxcyllin and it burst three times. It is still there and i continue to take vit c but it is now about 6 weeks that i have it and i can sometimes taste the pus. Very unusual as i never get anything wrong with me. Have had dentist xray and nothing shows up. Can you help? thanks fiona
It seems like a severe strep throat. As the course of Amoxycillin did not help, I think you need to run culture and sensitivity testing of the throat swab to determine the right diagnosis and most susceptible antibiotic to use. Meanwhile, gargle with warm water and salt several times during the day. Try to keep the air well moisten at your work place. Discuss this further with your caring doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
