Why Does The Breath Stop For Few Seconds While Coughing ?
Hi Doctor . Yasir here from Pakistan. I want to ask that from last 2 months my father s breath stops for few seconds when he faces cough. What the problem is this? His age is about 55, and he said I feel my breath stops in my throat during the cough, specially during sleep . Is this ENT problem? Is this dangerous? Kindly guide me in the matter.

After frequent bout of coughing usually there can be a pause in breathing. What is he suffering from Does he smoke. Does he snore a lot at night. You need to rule out Sleep apnoea from his Doctor as well. His coughing needs to get treated first. Kindly show him to a Doctor as soon as possible.

My daughter "Yusra" is 14 months old, and teething nowadays. She irritates and cries while sleeping in the night. I don't want to give her medicines daily, as when I give her Ibuprofen, she gets some relief. But this is not a permanent cure. what should I do to relieve her during her sleeps in log term? Kindly guide me in the matter.
