Why Don't I Get Permanent Relief From Typhoid ?

Within past 5 months I have had 3 full course of typhoid but.. Eg. if the treatment is over today, i will again get back the symptoms within 4-5 days. The symptoms are mild fever at evenings, chills, headache , body ache, lethargy , abdominal pain , weakness. Note that I never had severe symptoms by God s grace, may be because the first time I had the luck of getting it tested before it could show severe symptoms. When I heard that other people lie in bed for days I feel that I could have some other disease apart from typhoid. Can it be? But Widal test came positive too. Even, I have had overdose of 5 days of typhoid tablets (5 days monocef injection twice daily +cifloflxacin 5 days and monocef tab. again for 5 days) so that I might not catch it again but this time it took 10 days for the symptoms to come back... Now, we drink aqua-guard water and my family drinks it too but they don t have typhoid. May be my immunity is very low after so much allopathic medicines but what to do now. TB test is negative. I have 2 questions- 1. How to get permanent treatment. 2. What other disease could it be... any tests other than widal test?

Widal test may remain positive although you may not suffering with it. you may have developed resistence due to improper selection of antibiotic or dose. So take appropriate antibiotic in proper dose for decided duration.

Hello.
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic forum.
If you have recurrent symptoms then you should go for a blood culture test and then according to the culture report proper antibiotic should be given for proper duration. The best option for you now that once you get treated once, get yourself vaccinated against typhoid.
