HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Normally in situations where there is an overdose of
paracetamol, the medical team would check the function of the liver and kidneys. They can also check the levels of paracetamol in the blood.
There is a medication that can be given IV to help combat the effect of paracetamol overdose and it is possible that this is what you were given.
They would normally only discharge if the organ functions (liver , kidney) were not impaired and there is upward trend in the values.
The symptoms of
dizziness and lightheaded sensation can occur during the episode but it is unusual for it to continue to this point.
Other causes of these symptoms are viral illness,
inner ear diseases (meniere's disease,
vestibular neuronitis, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo).
If they continue , you should consider visiting your doctor for an evaluation.
In terms of the mood symptoms, this is also not common side effect of this over dose.
If you intentionally took the increased tablet and have ideas of harming your self, it would be best to seek the help of a
psychologist or
psychiatrist.
Your mood symptoms would be indicative of
depression and there is treatment that can help you to feel better.
I hope this helps
