Hello there, It would be helpful to know at what time of the day and in relation to food when were these blood tests done. Fasting values and post meal values for control are different. Now Diamicron MR has a medicine called gliclazide which makes your own body secrete more insulin. Now Daonil M also has a similar medicine called glibenclamide. There is no evidence to support the use of both together in one patient. Regarding medication doses, to achieve blood glucose control doses are increased. I do not know whether this 143 reading of sugar was before or after food. If fasting then there is scope for further improvement and that is why your doses have been increased. However you need to discuss these things with your diabetologist and am sure they will explain to you the reasons for use of certain medicines and also the need for increase in doses. Do continue diet and exercise regimen as suggested by your doctor as these play equally important role in controlling sugars. Hope this helps. Take care.
