Why Has The Punctum In Eye Swollen?

Hi the punctum in my right eye is swollen and my eye wont stop watering. It s been like that since Saturday... I v had this before and tried all sorts of different eye drops and antihistamines but nothing worked... it stopped by itself but it took 2months! Please help. Thanks!

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having swelling of the punctum with watering.
This is because of inflammation involving the lacrimal drainage system like punctum, canaliculi or lacrimal sac.
Hence this requires evaluation by ophthalmologist to find out the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.
