Why Having A Feeling Of Additional Heart Beat Below The Chest Even After Having Ciplar? Echo, Ecg Normal

Dear Doctor, I am a diabetic guy type 2 and in good control. I am having a small inconvenience (may be additional heart beat kind of feeling), in the center of my body (below the chest, above stomach). what would be the reason ?

i visited cardiologist and took echo and ecg. everything is normal and nothing to worry about heart, he said.
but prescribed "ciplar" tablet for 2 weeks, that too half per time, morning and evening. even after taking, i still have this, for the past 3 months.
what would be the exact reason? what other tests to be taken?

Dear Friend

It seems , you have palpitations.
It may be a result of anxiety , excessive tea , coffee , or drugs , smoking , alochol.
Structural heart disease is an important cause , but has been ruled out by echo and ecg.

I prefer to add , escitalopram for 7-10 days to my patients who have such problem and don't respond to inderal. Discuss with your doctor about it.

However , best way is to eliminate the cause of it.
