Why Having Bloody Urine After Using Ellipical Machine After Inserting Kidney Stents?
I had kidney stents inserted 2 1/2 months agos. Started back exercising after three weeks of their insertion with no problem. Howevrr, last week I had a bloody urine after 60 minutes on the ellipical machine. Sine then, I notice i have a boody urine immediately after using the ellipical machine. Should I be concerned and go back to my urologist or just stop exercising?
Hi Kidney stents are known to cause these sort of problems. Since it is a foreign body in the urinary tract, it can irritate the bladder and kidney and cause bleeding. Drink plenty of fluids to keep the blood thin and try not to do heavy exercises. You could do mild non strenuous exercise. If bleeding ersists then contact the urologist. Depending on the condition, the stents can stay in for 3 to 6 months after which it will be replaced or removed.
