Why Having Tender And Swollen Clitoris With Excess Vaginal Discharge During Pregnancy?

I am 32 weeks pregnant with twins and for the last day or two have had a very tender and swollen clitoris. Vaginal discharge has meant that I wear a panty liner 24 hours a day (changing regularly of course). What could the cause be and how should I treat this?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Vaginal discharge is commonly seen during pregnancy but if presented along with a sore or tender clitoris then an infection needs to be ruled out. Infections are quite common during pregnancy and are usually very easily treated. It would be best to consult your doctor for further management, but in the menatime make sure you change your pad as frequently as possible, drink plenty of water and avoid sexual contact in all forms.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
