Hi,this is madhuchhanda from bangalore India. I am pregnant and it s my 8th week continuing.. my doctor advised me susten vt 200 mg tablet i want to know why it is actually needed? Is there any problem as my reactive protein test value is 9.1 mg/L. Please explain me briefly.
Hello dear Understand your concern Susten VT 200 is progesterone tablet. It is used vaginally in early pregnancy to prevent missed abortion and maintain the pregnancy in high risk women with low progesterone. It should be put high in the vagina at the bed time for better absorption and result. Slight increase in the reactive protein may be occur in pregnancy. But value greater than >10 mg/L suggest strong inflammation in the body like inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, lupus and tuberculosis etc. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
