They have now put her on induced coma. Please explain. They are also doing an ekg
A heart attack occurs when there is decreased blood supply to an area of the heart. If it is a large area then this is the reason that it may have been difficult to revive her.
The stents mean that the doctors identified different areas of the heart that were not getting enough blood.

Why Is An Induced Coma Initiated After A Cardiac Stent Placement?
Hi, A heart attack occurs when there is decreased blood supply to an area of the heart. If it is a large area then this is the reason that it may have been difficult to revive her. The stents mean that the doctors identified different areas of the heart that were not getting enough blood. High blood pressure, smoking, high cholesterol, diabetes, family history of heart disease and obesity- increase the risk of heart disease. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
