Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im feeling very guilty to admit my child hasn t had ANY of her immunizations since she has been born. it started off because we had no insurance and every dr you had to pay at the visit. Im taking her to dr this week . will this affect her health catching up on a years worth of shots she was supposed to receive? I mean she is healthy, she s on point with her nutrition, bloodwork, growth.... Does she really need all the shots? My two other children did get all their immunizations and afterwards always got really sick for at least a week. Am i harming the baby rather than helping?
Hi... Greetings form Chennai, India. I am happy that you realized the truth though late. The kid definitely needs all age appropriate immunizations. Some killer disease are easily preventable with vaccines. I advice you approach your pediatrician and ask him or her for missed vaccine schedule to be written down, so that you can plan ahead. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
