Why Is It Showing Positive In Pregnancy Test After Abortion?
I was 12 weeks pregnant. And on 9th june 14 I went for a surgical abortion. Bleeding, cramping n pain is normal.m also taking all the medicines on time which are prescribed by my gyno.Today I took a urinary pregnancy test at home.And the result was positive. I was totally unconscious during my abortion procedure n I seriously dont have any idea what things they have actually done. Thats why m more worried about all the things. I just want 2 know that what are the odds that I still could be pregnant? N what are the symptoms I should look for if there is any infection or something went wrong with my abortion procedure? M also passing blackish colored stools.is it also normal?Please help me with all these questions

I understand your concern.
In my opinion the chances of incomplete abortion after a surgical abortion is highly unlikely.
Even after the pregnancy termination the HCG hormone which is responsible for positive pregnancy test takes a month to disappear.
So you might get a positive pregnancy test till that time.
The signs of incomplete abortion are irregular bleeding or spotting with or without pain abdomen.
In the presence of infection there can be fever ,foul smelling discharge ,irregular bleeding etc.
I suggest you to get an ultrasound to look for any incomplete abortion.
So consult your doctor and get an ultrasound done.
