Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I don t want to worry my mom so I have been giving this a week now to past but its not. I am 17 and I want to say its from not getting enough sleep but I am getting at least 6 hours on nights I stay up late. Regularly I get at least 8 hour sleep every night. I don t have a job this summer so I am home a lot doing nothing. Just sitting my heart starts beating really fast out of no where probably about 5 times in a row then it will slow down again. I have a irregular heart beat and I know what it feels like. This beating is much harder and faster and leaves a funny feeling. Can you tell me what I can do to improve this before telling my mother? Sorry if I put this in the wrong category. No I am active I go running everyday, I go swimming on the weekends. I have a super fast metabolism that won t let me keep weight on so I have to eat a lot.
If it's an actually beating irregularly many times a day than you should see a doctor but if you just have random bursts of heart movement than you may be having panic attacks or anxiety attacks that could be solved by being more relaxed. Either way if the problem persists I would see a doctor or therapist
