Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My poop has been black for the past few days. I ve also had nausea after eating and some pain too in my stomach, as well as a light burning sensation in my chest. I ve also had trouble going to the bathroom and doing #2. I m worried this might be a life threatening disease or something, but I was hoping you would know the problem.
noted your current presentation. black colored is either seen when a artificial flavored black colored food is ingested( like biscuits etc) OR it maybe observed in the presence of upper GI bleed.
therefore, if you observed the black-colored stool repeatedly, i strongly recommend you to visit gastroenterologist and undergo endoscopic examination.
further course of action maybe suggested accordingly.
hope to answer your concern. wish you good and sound health. regards, Dr Tayyab Malik
