My question is this...I have been on thyroid meds for a long time then in the last 5-6 yrs I have been on levothyroxin as well to help with water retention. Why do I take the water pill if the thyroid pill is a sodium based pill? Doesn t the sodium cause water retention? If I get off of the thyroid pill, then maybe I can stop the water pill as well? just curious.
