Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Two weeks ago I had to get two stitches in my ring toe on my right foot. My foot just now started swelling and the toe with the stitches goes numb and tingly. Is that normal? Also I should of gotten them out four days ago but couldn t find a DR. Should I be worried???
Hi! I read carefully your query and understand your concern. If your foot is swollen, tender, red and hot when you touch it, this are all signs of inflammation and I think the wound in your toe might be infected. Well, I can tell this is not normal because after two weeks your foot should have been healed and this signs I described you above are happening in you foot it is definitely an infection. You should see a doctor,he will prescribe you an antibiotic.
Hope I was able to help you. Take care Dr.Rovena
