Why Passing Urine Taking Time To Start And Finish? Is It Due To Prostate Problems?

my husband has been have a problem urinating for the past 2 years and the doctors he has seen is telling him he is too young for prostate problems. But I feel that there is more going on. It takes 15 min to get started and another 15 min to finish if he can even finish. What should we do?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has hesitancy and takes long time to empty bladder.

You have not mentioned his age in your query.

This could be due to enlarged prostate or stricture of the urethra,

Please consult qualified urologist for clinical examination and following investigations.
1) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen to rule out enlarged Prostate
2) Retrograde Cysto Urethrogram to rule out stricture of the urethra.

Further treatment will depend upon the results of these tests and final diagnosis.
