hi, I m a 24 year old masculine. I got an injury of hot oil spill on my knee area. the doctor prescribed me a TT injection along with paracetamol & cyra-d. I m not really getting the point to use cyra-d in this case. please advise me to continue this. thanks in advance.
Hi, cyra-d is a proton pump inhibitor and it decreases acidity of the gastric contents. In skin burns, it has been seen that there is increase in the acidity of the gastric contents which leads to gastric ulcer formation called curling ulcers. Thats why usually a proton pump inhibitor drug is added in the management of skin burns to avoid development of any gastric ulcer.
