hi sir.. i am suffering from cold since last 15 days... i get khansi from almost mid of day till night with increased frequency as the time progresses... its dry... in the evening its so furious that i vomit two to three times.. at the beginning i took ezithromycin -500 just three doses.. then carried with steam inhalation through mouth... then i consulted and taken 3 dose of montair-10 1 tab daily with one teaspoonful of ascoril-d just before sleep... sir please help me as i cant take sedative cough syrups or expectorant due to my near by final semester exams..please sir do suggest me ... thanks and regards..

Management includes: 1. Antihistamine preparations like Allegra & Cough expectorant syrup for symptomatic relief. 2. Montelukast preparation at night as a maintenance therapy. 3. A course of antibiotics may be taken depending on culture and sensitivity reports. 4. Maintain adequate hydration & a healthy balance diet. 5. Warm salt water gargle & steam inhalation. 6. Also make sure that you are well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.
