Why Ultrasound Preferred Over CT Scan In Gynecological Pathologies?

i am a student at university of zimbabwe and i wanted to know if there are any other reasons why ultrasound is prefered more than CT scan in gynaecological pathologies

Hi welcome to HCM. Actually ultrasound is safer than CT scan because with a CT, there is huge amount of exposure to x-ray radiation that accumalates in the body and if repeated, can aeven lead to cancer.
Ultra sound is also very effective in diagnosing Gynaecological problems. However if we want to detect spread of Gynaec cancers, then CT is preferred.
