Why Won't Doctors Prescribe Arimidex For Older Men With Estrogen Problem?
why won't doctors prescibe arimidex for older men with an estrogen problem? I have tried a Urologist and my family doctor. The urologist was just plain rude and my family doctor was clueless concerning "andropause". My symtoms of low testosterone because of aromatization are fairly severe.
I think you gathered information from a wrong website. In andropause the decision is to treat with androgens or not. Anastrazole (armidex) is used to decrease the level of estrogen in body - like in the treatment of breast cancer.
If you feel like andropause, I would suggest you to consult and endocrinologist or physician, who will check your sex hormones (LH,FSH, testosterone) and decide on whearher you should take androgen replacement or not
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
With warm regards, Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM) Consultant Endocrinologist.
