Why Would A Bulbar Polio Survivor Experience Spasms In Fingers And Arms?
I am a bulbar polio survivor.(9 yr old.) occasionally,I have experienced uncontrollable jumping/spasms when trying to direct my fingers to something. Right hand is worse. Also, I had an operation - lower spine. Nearly 2years & still in pain - back & sciatic areas. Spinal stenosis/ degenerative disc was diagnosis. Could post polio be affecting tis? What s in the future? Your thoughts are appreciated. Audrey Ogden
So first there is nothing which is related to bulbar pollio. Muscle spasm is due to either deficiency of salt or calcium or vitamin b12 in body. I would advice you to take more salt in diet, drink fruit juice with pinch of salt in it. Also take tablet Methylcobal and calcium in your diet. Spinal stenosis can occur at different level than you get operated previously and can cause back pain and sciatica. A repeat mri of your spine will help to know ehat is condition now. Take tablet pregabalin and methycobal for pain relief.
