Will Guanfacine Cause Tiredness?
After dealing with many different blood pressure medications, I now have a prescription for guanfacine. After reading about it, I see it is mainly used for ahad. I m already experiencing tiredness from losartan and I m worried this will add to it. I do not see a lot about it for blood pressure use. Thank you

Guanfacine is used alone or with other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Guanfacine acts in the brain.
It decreases certain nerve signals from the brain to the blood vessels and the heart.
This causes the blood vessels to relax so that blood can flow more easily and also slows the heart rate.
These effects help to lower blood pressure.
As you agreed, this drug also be used for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Tiredness is the usual side effect of the guanfacine.
Additional side effects are dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness.
If you felt too much of tiredness, please consult your treating physician.
He can either change or decrease the dose of the drugs.
