Will Lotemax Be Sufficient To Cure Redness In Eyes?
I have had blood shot eyes for a month now. i went to the eye doctor and she gave me Lotemax .5% Ophthalmic to put in my eyes. I finished the drops and my eyes are better but the redness has not completely gone away. I thought the drops would make my eyes go back to being white but the redness doesn't seem to be going away completely. Should i go back to the doctor or is this just how my eyes are going to be now??
Hello, Lotemax is a steroid eye drops and it is given for non infective inflmmations like allergic conjunctivitis, uveitis, scleritis... Steroid eye drops should not be stopped abruptly and they have to be tapered over a period of 1 week. The non infective conditions like allergic conjunctivitis.... all require treatment for a long time 3-4 weeks, hence you need to consult your eye doctor for further advice. If you can tell me for what was the diagnosis made along with photo of the affected eye, I can advice you regarding next mode of treatment.
Thank you
