Hello,
Yes, Novars can cause dizziness. Novars is a
calcium channel blocker commonly prescribed for the treatment of
hypertension. In addition to dizziness, it can also cause increased heartbeats,
constipation, swelling of the feet and flushing.
Concor is a cardioselective ('heart selective') beta-adrenergic blocker which is also used to treat
high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (heart-related
chest pain), and irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmia).
Its common side effects include fatigue, myalgia, cold extremities and less likely to cause dizziness hence your doctor has substituted in place of novars. Continue taking concor as prescribed by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
