Will Eating A Cake With THC In It Be Harmful? Done Heart Surgery
Dear doctor, I have a dear friend close to me whom recently had heart surgery and is not recovering great.!! We used to smoke weed/marijuana every day together. I know smoking in general is bad for your health. However I found out I can extract the THC from weed and place it in an edible substance. Thus we could both eat a cake with THC in it. Would this pose a risk to his health. Comparing without in general or comparing it to drinking alcohol?? THank you very very much for your responds!!
I understand your concerns. Using THC in any way is harmful. It is especially so if you have had a surgery on your heart. I believe that there is a risk and the risk can only be explained after the event has occurred. I believe that using THC can be worse when taken with alcohol and there are no comparisons to using THC and alcohol. I advise you to avoid both these drugs and use medical treatment for withdrawal symptoms. A consultation with a psychiatrist who is a specialist in substance use disorders treatment would be appropriate.
I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
