Will Eating Egg Causes Typhoid ?

my cousin sister got fever and was got diagnosed to be typhoid, she doing her final degree and stay in the hostel, latter few of the other hostel girls also suffered from the typhoid. the hostel mess was shut down and they blamed that eating egg was the cause for typhoid fever. will egg cause typhoid fever?

No eating a egg does not cause typhoid fever unless it is contaminated by a bacteria called salmonella typhi.

Poor hygiene and public health conditions are responsible for its transmission.

Improper hand washing (particularly by food handlers) is responsible for transmission.

i dont think egg in general will cause typhoid. but if it is cooked and kept for long time or cooked in unhygienic palce thenmay be it will. was the hostel mess clean and hygienic?check that first.

Eating egg will not cause typhoid fever. There is no proof of it. This is all rubbish. It is not caused by eating egg. It is due to eating non healthy food and drinking contamianted water.

i think yellow portion of the egg causes typhoid fever. its better to avoid yellow portion of egg.

my mess too has the same prob, i think they use very old eggs and they dont prepare it well and this was the main cause of typhoid in my college. But White part of egg cures typhoid..........
