Will Exposure To Strong Smells And Paint Fumes Affect An Infant?

Hello - My mother took my 1week old baby into a nail salon for 30minutes. It smelled very bad (fumes!). Will this have done any damage to her small lungs. I am very very worried. Ahe is such a small baby!! Please tell me honestly...I am really anxious. Could this have long term damage? She was apparently sleeping in her car seat sleeping the whole time. But the place has bad ventilation. Help!

Your concern is right. The paint we use contains a lot of organic solvents and chemicals which evaporate much later. The chemicals in it may have serious side effects in future.
It may create allergic reactions, sore throat, itching and watery eyes.
These may further develop some serious problems like an asthma attack.
Infants are more sensitive and prone to these side effects because their immune system is very week. So better to keep them abstain from such places in future.
