Will Having Periods During Knee Surgery On General Anesthesia Have Any Problems ?
I am 39 yrs, single. I am planned to have a knee arthroscopic surgery on general anathesia tomorrow and my period is expected the day after..some times it comes earlier..so I am afraid it comes on the day of the surgery..will it be a problem or still they can do the surgery while I have the period?
Hello;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
If the surgery cannot be postponed you can get the surgery done even during the periods but you will become uncomfortable.Periods will not affect the anaesthesia but it will be if you discuss this issue with your operating surgeon and get the surgery postponed.Knee arthroscopy is not a emergency surgery so if possible for you you can even wait and get it done after periods.
Thanks
