Will Improper Usage Of Sofradex For An Ear Infection Be Effective?

Hi I was using sofradex due to an ear infection but I didn’t use it properly the first three days ( the doctor didn’t explain it was an antibiotic) now I am using it properly but I am worried because is not getting better and maybe I made myself resistant. Could that be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I read your query and I understand your concern. There is a possibility of being resistant to it but other possibilities are a viral infection or another antibiotic is needed. If there is pus you should do a puscuculture to determine the right antibiotic effective for the bacteria.
Take care.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help you. Best regards. Dr Olgeta Xhufka ( general and family physician ).
