Will It Be Normal To Have Calcific Foci And Pleural Thickening Due To TB?

hi i had a query, my husband is 29 years old and is a TB patient, his treatment is getting over this week, he has taken out xray but report says its has calcific foci and pleural thickening in both upper zone, is it normal in tb patients or we should consult any doctor

Thanks for your query.
Bilateral upper lobe calcific foci and pleural thickening are normal in a tuberculosis patient if initially he has bilateral upper zone shadow and it also indicates inactive lesion. But if cavities are there along with calcification it may lead to future episodes of hemoptysis. At present no intervention is required and he should have a follow up chest x-ray after one year or if any symptom arises further.
