Will It Be Safe To Take Pepcid And TUMS For Acidity?
I'm ten weeks pregnant and have severe acidity, headaches, morning sickness. My doctor prescribed me Pepcid and TUMS for acidity but so far (i've been taking it for two weeks now) ..no effect. I suffer from acidity and heart burn whole day and night. Can I take famtac (40 mg) or aciloc for my acidity? Also is pudinhara or eno safe?
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your stomach upset and pregnancy issue.
The drug comes under CATEGORY B same as the one you are taking. That means there is no available risk factors seen in animals with pregnancy but also no data of humans available too.
There are many good drugs which also comes under same category like pantoprazole, which has better efficacy than H2 blocker you are taking.
You need to consult your doctor and tell him about alternative as I recommend, because both have same risk but PPI have better results.
You can also make certain changes in your food by by consulting your doctor.
Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further questions. Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray
