Will It Take Time To Get Pregnant After Stopping The Intake Of Pills?
Hi I have been with my partner for 2 years now and wanting to start a family, I am 19 years old and have been on the contraceptive pill since I was 14 I have stopped taking this for 2 months now and I am still not pregnant. Just wanting to know does it take a while for this to come put of my system or not? Thanks
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Since you have been taking the pills for the past five years, inhibiting ovulation, your hormone system needs time to return to the normal state. You can expect ovulation to return in a couple of months. You can wait for six months with sincere trial for pregnancy after return of ovulation before seeking help from a specialist. Meanwhile maintain a healthy diet, healthy weight and regular exercise. Ovulation can be tracked through recording of basal body temperature or follicular studies. Hope this helps.
