Will Meeting Her Grandmother Diagnosed With Glandular TB Dangerous For My Daughter?
Good afternoon. My mother has Glandular Tuberculosis. She was diagnosed about a year ago and has been taking her medication. My daughter, who is 9 months old, will be meeting my mother for the first time tomorrow. Is myt daughter at risk of getting infected?
If your mother has been consistently using her medication she should not be infectious for your daughter. The infection should not be active at this stage.
Tb can be mainly transmitted as an airborne illness eg by coughing, sneezing etc.
I hope this helps
