Will Micro-calcification In Mammogram Indicate Risks Of Cancer ?

Hi! I am 36 years old female. I had mammogram and ultrasound last week for a lump (solid) on right breast. They also found microcalcification. I am going to have ultrasound core biopsy for the mass and stereotactic biopsy for the calcification. what is the likelihood of having cancer. does having solid mass and calcifictation increases the risk?

the calcification will increases the chance of cancer. As a dictum any breast mass should be considered as a cancer unless proved otherwise. This is because diagnosis of breast cancer by means of FNAC, Biopsy is easily available and now the treatment at early stages gives good results. I am thinking your biopsy report is going to tell you what it is. all the best.
