Will Reducing The Conception Of Sugar Affect The Diabetic Test Result?

I've cut back the amount of sugar in my four year old's diet. I am going to have her tested for diabetes. If she has it, would cutting back her sugar beforehand possibly cause the test results to be wrong? Should I start giving her more sugar prior to the testing?
