Will Squint Of A 6 Month Baby Disappear In Course Of Time?

My baby is 6 months, and has a squint And i asked an ophthalmologist for advise he wants to do fundus examination under general anathesia.I am worried about this!!

and some freinds told that it may take some time and squint will desapear later.

Is this right?

You can wait till one year to see if it improves, but will need fundus examination if not settling
