Will Streptococcal Pharyngitis Get Better On Its Own?
hi, i have been suffering from Streptococcal pharyngitis now for almost a month. have been on 3 courses of two different types of anti biotics. each time i finish a course it flares up again. it seems like i'm fighting a losing battle. i don't want to go on more anti biotics. will this get better on its own?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
Aa per your complain, Bacterial Pharyngitis or streptococcusthroat infection is a bacterial infection that needs treatment with antibiotics and will not resolve on its own and needs proper antibiotic treatment for resolution.. As it is flaring up on stopping Medication there is a possibility that there is resistance developed to certain antibiotics and you should get a culture and sensitivity testing of throat swab done to rule out the particular strain of bacteria and particular antibiotics Oral as well as injectable and steroids will be given to you for relief..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
