Will Taking Lortab And Occasional Weed Smoking During Pregnancy Show Up In My Baby's System?

I am almost 38 weeks pregnant & I have been taking only one 10mg Lortab a day my whole pregnancy & occasionally smoked weed, will these things show up in my babies system? Or will they test her if there is no need to? Will she have withdrawls from such a small amount if I stop now?

The Lortab might show up if they test your baby for opiates. However, if you were taking the Lortab by prescription for legitimate reasons, then you really have nothing to worry about. The tiny amount that the baby might have gotten will not be harmful to the baby. Furthermore, it is very unlikely that there will be any significant withdrawal symptoms, since lortab is a mild narcotic, and since you only took such a small amount. They will probably watch the baby for symptoms, but I doubt there will be any bad symptoms at all or long term effects. The marijuana, if it was only small amounts, also has not been shown to have any significant effects on the baby either, and will probably not show up on any tests. Given your history, they will probably test both you and the baby for symptoms. however, if all you took was what you told me, I don't think you will have anything to worry about at all.
