Will The Hymen Get Damaged During A Pelvic Examination?
Yes hello , I have a question . I have been diagnosed with a Ovarian cyst . I was advised to see a near by obstetrician. The thing is , I m a virgin and i heard they would be preforming a full pelvic exam including a pap smear. Does that mean my hymen will be broken in the process ? What all would be performed if i would need to see a GYN or a OB. ?

yes there is a chance of breaking hymen. this is insignificant. pelvicexaminaion is most important discuss the problem with your treating doctor. many of test you have mentioned are not required.minimum required test can be performed
